One Thoughtful Process
Adoption and our waitlist are two paths on the same journey at Northhaven Cavapoos. If a puppy is available and feels like the right fit, we guide you through adoption. If you want to wait for an upcoming litter, join the waitlist—we’ll keep you updated as litters are expected and reach out when a match that fits your preferences is on the way.
Every placement begins with an application, a personal review, and a written agreement before fees are finalized and go-home is scheduled. Our goal is a calm, transparent experience—from your first message to the day your Cavapoo arrives home.

What Your Puppy Comes With
When your North Haven Cavapoo leaves our care, they go home prepared—and so do you. Every approved placement includes the essentials below so the transition feels supported from day one.
- Age-appropriate veterinary wellness exam and vaccine record
- Microchip registration information
- Health record packet and applicable paperwork
- DDKC-related registration documentation as applicable to your puppy
- Written health guarantee and purchase/adoption contract (copy for your records)
- Starter supply of the food your puppy is already eating
- Care guidance for the first days home (feeding, rest, potty, settling in)
- Ongoing breeder support for questions about care, training, and adjustment
Exact contents of the go-home packet are confirmed in your contract and reviewed with you before pickup or shipping day.
Important terms
Conditions of Sale
Placing a puppy is a serious commitment for both our kennel and your family. The following conditions apply to all North Haven Cavapoos adoptions. Full legal terms appear in the written contract you will review and sign before reservation fees are finalized.
- Puppies are placed only with approved applicants after a completed application and personal review.
- Submitting an application does not guarantee a puppy or a specific litter.
- A signed purchase/adoption contract is required before a puppy is reserved or released.
- The $800 reservation fee is required to hold a specific puppy and is applied toward the $1,200 total. Remaining balance is due as stated in your contract (typically before or at go-home).
- Waitlist is for families waiting on upcoming litters—we keep you updated as litters are planned. The $300 waitlist fee holds your place; when a match is offered, the reservation process still applies before adoption.
- Puppies are intended as beloved family companions and must receive proper veterinary care, nutrition, and a safe home.
- Ownership transfers only after contract requirements and payment terms are satisfied.
- Health guarantee coverage, refund policy, and return provisions (if any) are defined in the written contract—not by informal conversation alone.
- Buyer is responsible for complying with local, state, and international import/pet travel rules when delivery is chosen.
- North Haven Cavapoos reserves the right to decline or cancel a placement if we believe it is not in the puppy’s best interest.
If anything in the contract is unclear, ask before you sign. We want every family to feel informed and comfortable.

Delivery or Pickup
Delivery
We ship worldwide. When you choose delivery, we coordinate a calm, carefully planned journey for your puppy—never rushed, and always with their comfort first.
Delivery is arranged with a trusted shipping agency experienced in live-animal travel. Where appropriate, a professional nanny / pet escort accompanies or assists the puppy so they are monitored, comforted, and handled with care during transit.
- Go-home date aligned with veterinary readiness (typically ~8 weeks)
- Trusted shipping partners for domestic and international routes
- Nanny / escort support when the itinerary calls for it
- Clear communication on timing, airport/meeting point, and paperwork
- Shipping or escort fees quoted separately by destination
You will receive travel details in writing once the contract and payments are complete and the itinerary is confirmed.
Pickup
Prefer to meet us and take your puppy home yourself? Pickup is available for approved families. We’ll schedule a go-home appointment once veterinary checks are complete and your contract and balances are settled.

Legal & process
How the Contract & Process Work
Every North Haven Cavapoo placement is completed under a written purchase/adoption contract. Verbal discussions help us get to know you—but the contract is the official agreement that protects both the puppy and your family.
Step by step:
- 1. Apply — Complete the application below (adoption, waitlist, or both).
- 2. Review — We read your answers, may ask follow-up questions, and confirm whether we can move forward.
- 3. Match — We discuss available puppies now, or keep you updated for an upcoming litter that fits your preferences.
- 4. Contract — You receive the written agreement covering price, fees, health guarantee, refund/return terms, ownership transfer, and go-home responsibilities. Read it carefully and ask questions before signing.
- 5. Pay fees — After signing, pay the waitlist fee ($300) and/or reservation fee ($800) via your chosen method (Apple Pay, Zelle, or Chime). Reservation is required before adoption is finalized.
- 6. Prepare go-home — We finalize pickup or delivery (nanny + trusted shipping agency when delivering), veterinary readiness, and your go-home packet.
- 7. Welcome home — Remaining balance is completed as stated in the contract; ownership transfers per the signed terms; lifetime support remains available.
Until the contract is signed and required payments are received as agreed, a puppy is not considered fully reserved or released. If plans change, any refund or credit follows the written contract—not informal messages.
